Burberry Baby!

This is an outfit Emma got from Anita & Alastair recently. I think she looks adorable in it!

Emma's Open House

Showing TJ how she holds the handrail and goes into her class, where she showed him...

"This is the slide...

And this is the teeter-totter and kitchen...

And this is the playground..." Emma & TJ really enjoyed getting to visit the playground and running around with Emma's friend London.

Emma had an Open House at her pre-school last night and TJ came with us. Emma really enjoyed walking us around her class and showing TJ all of the toys she plays with everyday. It was nice to chat with her teachers and the other parents. Emma loves her school and we had a great time!

Mini-Me

People often tell me "You're daughter looks just like you!" Actually, I rarely see it... until I saw this picture!

Park Playdate

We had a playdate Friday afternoon at the park and Mikayla came with us. Emma still loves the slides and swings. She also shows no fear when it comes to climbing up on all of the play structures - I haven't decided if this is a good or a bad thing yet! I love how independent she is, but she tends to give me a heart attack at times! We had a lot of fun and Emma loved having Mikayla there to take her on the big slides. All went well until Emma walked in front of Mikayla as she was swinging... Kayla tried to stop herself, but Emma still got plowed down. Then when she tried to stand up, Kayla got her again! Emma was fine after a couple minutes and (hopefully!) she has learned not to walk in front of the swings anymore.

Cousin Time!

Emma sure loves her cousins! These are a few pictures I have been meaning to post for the past couple weeks. Emma loves playing with TJ and I love how intense the two of them look while battling with Tim's light sabers. These little cars have turned out to be worth their weight in gold. Great 1st birthday presents. Emma & TJ love to go for rides in their cars and the older kids (see Mikayla & Tim, right) enjoy taking them out for a spin.

Uncle....???

This was Emma's Sunday School craft at church. I realized that almost all the important men in her life are "Uncles." She spends a lot of time with Uncle Todd and Uncle Tim and can pick out and name Uncle Kenny, Uncle Scott, and Uncle Pat in pictures. So I guess I shouldn't be surprised that, when I asked her who was in these pictures, she confidently responded with "Uncle JESUS!" I've heard him referred to as The Father, The Son, and The Holy Ghost... I think He will be okay with Emma calling him Uncle Jesus!

Disney Before and After...

Emma makes me laugh. The first 3 pictures of her are on the morning we were getting ready to head out to Disney. She was so excited! Happy to sit still, comb her hair, etc. We were outside playing and waiting for Grandma 20 minutes before she was even due to get there.

These last 3 shots are from the morning AFTER Disneyland. I got the first one as Emma was waking up and stretching. I then told her that she was having a bad hair day. I showed her a mirror and quickly snapped the 2nd picture! The last one was as she was heading into daycare. She was still in the Disney mindset and insisted on wearing her Minnie ears to show her teachers.

One More Disneyland Photo...

Tim and I are in the back. Love the look of abject terror on his face. Its almost as priceless as the goofy expressions on the 3 guys up front! The best part about Tim's screaming??? After he saw the picture, his response was "Hmmm... I think I must have blinked when they were taking the picture..." LOL. Yeah, okay. I'm sure that look of fear was just a blink. Go ahead little man, hold strong & be tough...

Tim's 10th Birthday

Emma really wanted to see Mickey but, once we got to the front of the line, she wasn't so sure anymore...

The Birthday Boy, Grandma, & Emma with Mickey Mouse!

Here's a pretty little Minnie Mouse you don't want to mess with! Notice the Buzz Lightyear Ray gun!

King Arthur's Carousel is always a hit!

Does Tim have what it takes to remove the sword from the stone???

Spinning fun in the Teacups.

Buddies Tim & Emma sharing secrets...

Emma loves "It's a Small World." Here she was enthralled by the dolls that go back & forth across the ceiling on a tightrope.

2 rascally little pups in lockdown at the pound!

Little Miss Attitude waiting (patiently???) for her turn on the slide in ToonTown.

Tim turned 10 years old yesterday so we headed off to Disneyland again! We all had a great time! Emma loves playing with Tim and riding all the rides together! Tim loved StarTours and Pirates of the Caribbean. Dumbo, Small World, the Teacups, and the Jungle Cruise were still big hits with Emma. I had to tell her that Dumbo, the hippos, and even the teacups had gone "night-night" to get her out of the park! All in all it was a great day!

Emma's memory is rapidly improving and she had been talking about going to "Didneynand" and seeing "Mitty Mouse" for the past week. Yesterday morning she burst in on me while I was in the shower shouting "I goin a Didney-yand today!!!" She was more than cooperative in getting up, dressed, with hair brushed and ready to go early. It may really be the happiest place on earth! ... And we will be back there again in2 weeks for Katie's birthday!

Princess Emma

While shopping at Babies R Us this week, Emma decided that she was old enough to pick out her own clothes.... She reached for one outfit, proclaiming "I wan dis one Mommy." I told her, "yes, I like that one too, but its for teeny tiny babies." Emma: "Teeny baby?" Me: "Yes, teeny babies. Are you a teeny baby Emma?" Emma: "No!" Me: "Well, what are you?" Emma... "A princess!" I was laughing so hard at her. That girl is definitely coming into her own and developing her own identity. As funny as the story goes, I realized later that I may have misunderstood the princess proclamation... We continued through the store and she kept pointing at outfits and calling them "princess." The next morning I asked Emma what she wanted to wear to school that day and she responded with her usual "A pink dress!" So "princess" may have actually been "pink dress." In either case, Emma sure knows what she wants.
