Happy Easter 2013!
We had a wonderful day celebrating Easter with our family today. The little ones woke up bright and early, of course, and were very excited to see what kind of goodies were awaiting them in their baskets. This year the Easter bunny brought swim suits, flip flops, goggles, & squirt guns... Nothing like an 8am water fight to celebrate the resurrection of our Lord & Savior! ;)
In the afternoon we all headed over to Tim & Jen's where the kids dyed eggs, did tons of egg hunts - the adults got in on that action too! - and played games. We had a delicious ham dinner, thanks to Grandma and lots of yummy snacks. It was an awesome day.
Eagles Easter Party
On Saturday afternoon, we all met up at the Eagles hall for the kids to take part in the annual Easter celebration. They got to see the Easter Bunny, get a basket, participate in an egg hunt, make crafts, & have lunch. All for a buck! You can't beat that. They had a great time. After church, Jen took all 3 girls with her to run errands (crazy lady!) and I met them at church for the evening service.

Sea World
I recently found out about a promo where kids aged 3 - 5 could get a free annual pass to Sea World, so we signed up all the kids. Then I only had to buy my own. Everyone else wanted in on this too, so it ended up being Emma & I, Todd, Karen, & their kids, and Mom & Al. We were also supposed to meet up with Erin, Jen, Charlene, & the girls, but ended up being on different schedule ideas so we were like ships passing in the night. We saw each other at the Dolphin show, but that was about it. We had a fabulous family day and now we have passes so we can go back again and again. Emma & TJ were big enough to ride Atlantis this time (E loved it, T did NOT). It was such a fun day, I can't wait to go back...

Daisy Fire Department Tour
Last night we didn't have our regular scout meeting at the church. Instead, we went to tour the fire station where Samantha's daddy, Dustin, works. The girls (and a couple of tagalong boys, like TJ) got to learn all about the fire station, the fire trucks, and all the equipment. They got to shoot the fire hoses and even go for a ride in the truck. It was very cool. They loved it. :)

Build A Bear
Build A Bear and Girl Scouts are both very smart organizations. Last year they released a limited edition 100th anniversary of GS bear & it quickly sold out. Smelling a money maker, they have decided to release additional special edition cookie bears, one each year for the next 5 years. Smart, smart, move... Emma was supposed to go to Build-A-Bear with her scout troop last week but we couldn't make it. So they picked up the flattened bear for us and we were finally able to go back today. We brought TJ along too, as an early birthday present and he was able to make a puppy. The kids both chose sound clips for their animals, so we have a bear around hear that plays 1Direction music and a puppy that plays the Star Wars theme music. Nice. I gotta tell you, Emma was originally disappointed in not going with her troop, but I think this was actually better. From what I understand, the store was crazy busy on the days of the troop events but we had the whole place to ourselves today. The kids took as much time as they wanted selecting their items, washing & fluffing the, dressing them, creating birth certificates, and I was able to take pictures too! We finished up the morning with lunch at the Rain Forest Cafe. The kids loved eating in the jungle and being there for the "storms." The food, although overpriced, was tasty too!
