All I want for Christmas....

Tooth #3 has been lost! That darn tooth fairy must be exhausted, what with all the holiday hustle & bustle... She forgot that darn tooth 2 nights in a row!

My lil geologist

There was a booth at BIG that taught the girls about geology. They each got to choose a rock to take home and Emma got a geode. She couldn't wait to break that baby open and see the crystals inside!

Ornaments!

Loving all the new ornaments this year!

Children's Discovery Museum of the Desert

In the morning we woke up early enough to have time for a yummy breakfast and spend some time in the pool/ hot tub before check out. Then we headed up the road to a local children's museum that I had heard great things about. It was a lot of fun! Emma can't wait to go back again with her friends.

B.I.G. (Believe in Girls) Expo

Early Saturday morning, Emma, Grandma, & I headed out to Palm Springs to attend the annual Believe in Girls Expo with Emma's scout troop. There were hundreds of girls there! Emma got to try all kinds of neat activities and I was able to get some ideas for future troop activities. She was able to build a birdhouse, try leather stamping, go on a pony ride, make a mini terrarium, hold monarch butterflies, learn how to hang glide, and even examine some art... very, VERY, closely. Lol. My little dork. We even turned it into a mini-vaycay and stayed in a hotel over night. The only low point of the day was the speeding ticket I got in my haste to get to the convention center on time. :( Oh well, live and learn. And I used it as a chance to show Emma that even mommies have to follow the rules too....

Fun with Hayden!

Jen spent the first day of Christmas vacation having her tonsils taken out. So Hayden spent the day with us. We headed out to Rancho to pick up some (more!) free hockey tickets I had won online and the girls begged for a stop at Bass. So we did and they got to ride the carousel over and over again since there was no line waiting. We finished up the day with some yummy hot cocoa.

Kimbark Christmas!

I took a furlough day on Wednesday and spent the day in Emma's class. The school was doing their Christmas performance in the morning and Emma's class was singing "Little Drummer Boy." Emma (& her school bff, Angelena) were both cast as stars. Emma was very proud, especially since Grandma & Al came to see her sing too and they even brought her flowers. :)
After lunch it was time for the class party. The kids got to make paper gingerbread houses, Christmas bags for all their goodies, and they decorated cookies. It was a lot of fun and Emma was so excited to have Mommy there helping out.
