Operation Christmas Child

For the 3rd year in a row (and the 2nd as a girl scout) Emma has chosen to fill a shoebox with toiletries, toys, & candy for a less fortunate child somewhere else in the world. These shoeboxes are sent all over the globe, along with a bible story, and given to children as Christmas gifts. This year we also toured the Ontario processing center with her troop. I love seeing this caring heart in my little girl and watching her become such a compassionate person.

Christmas Time at Bass

We made our usual trip out to Bass Pro Shop for Santa pictures this week. We went early, in the hopes of avoiding a crowd. Yeah, right! It was chaotic and a mess and we had to end up speaking with a manager, but eventually we got everything we wanted accomplished. And the pictures turned out cute too. :)

Sassy little seamstress

Emma learned some basic sewing skills at girl scouts this month. I think her panda turned out pretty darn cute!

Breakfast with Santa 2013

We went to the annual Breakfast with Santa event this weekend. Yes, I know it is still almost 2 months until Christmas, but it is also their holiday kick-off event so you know it has to be early for all the shoppers. The kids had a muffin & juice, got to make a craft, visited with Santa, and went on a scavenger hunt. It was, as usual, lots of fun and very busy!
Later that afternoon Mom, Emma, & I met Jen, Hayden, & Charlene for dinner and we took the girls to see a cute little play called Aesop in Rancho Cucamonga. The girls giggled a lot and seemed to enjoy meeting the cast afterwards. Another fun filled, busy Saturday!

Sk8r Boi & Rollr Grrrl... ;)

These kids just love anything with wheels lately! They have been getting nonstop use out of their roller skates and Emma loves her new birthday scooter. It's amazing to see them getting so agile and grown up so quickly...
