Karen, Mom, and I all got up super early the morning after TJ's birthday, dressed the kiddies and piled in the cars to head out to Anaheim. We had reservations for a character breakfast at 7:50 so we had to be on the road shortly after 5:30. The kids were so excited that they didn't even mind being up and about before sunrise. The breakfast was great! The food was tasty, and a buffet so they could have whatever they wanted. The characters constantly worked the room and came over to interact with the kids on multiple occasions. In addition to that, there were a few times where music would start and all the guests were invited to come up front and learn a new dance with Pluto or get surfing lessons with Stitch. The only downside was that that darn elusive duck was nowhere to be found. I had spoken with Disney reps who stated that the only place to meet Daisy Duck (Emma's character idol) was at this particular meal. So when I made the reservations, I asked to be sure and was told that they "could not guarantee the appearance of any particular character at any particular meal... but yes, Daisy is there most mornings." Well, apparently this particular morning was not one of the "most." She wasn't there. Oh well. The kids still had a great time with the remaining characters and I got some really cute pictures. So many in fact, that this trip will most likely be broken into a half dozen posts. Oh! And since it was the day after TJ's birthday and the day before mine, we BOTH got a Mickey shaped treat and the waiters sang to us! How cute was that?!
