Toddler Pronunciations!

Emma & TJ crack me up! Lately TJ has decided he is our own little law enforcement officer. For example, he has become the "prayer police," yelling out if he sees anyone with their eyes open while we are praying. He doesn't seem to realize that yelling out just gives away the fact that HE had his eyes open too!

He also feels the need to monitor Emma's behavior and, anytime he doesn't like what he sees, he middle-names her! I am constantly hearing this little voice calling out in exasperation, "Emma Grace!"

Well, yesterday I had heard "Emma Grace!" one time too many and I told him to knock it off and worry about himself. I also told Emma that TJ is NOT the boss of her and, whenever he tells her "Emma Grace!," she should say, "Todd Joseph!" This was actually confusing for her for a bit and I had to explain that TJ's real name is actually Todd Joseph. Well, when she got it, it really got funny because her tiny little mouth apparently can't say "Todd Joseph!" clearly. Instead, it comes out as "That Doofus!" HAHAHAHA! So now, while you are likely to hear two tiny toddlers running and playing, their conversation keep being punctuated by "Emma Grace!" and "That Doofus!"

I love these kids! Emma is so blessed to be growing up with a cousin so close in age...
