We had a great time celebrating Emma's big day this past weekend. She had a "Rainbow Brite Karate" party. Yep, you read that right. Emma has gotten into Rainbow Brite after watching some clips from the 80s on youtube so we got a rainbow cake, rainbow leg warmers, a Rainbow Brite shirt, and a hand made Rainbow Brite hairbow. Then I found a great deal online for a martial arts party package and Emma thought that was a neat idea. Thus, an odd, but perfect, little theme was born.
Emma & her friends had lots of fun learning some basic martial arts & tumbling moves. The got to kick, punch, and block. Emma even got to break a board and was awarded an honorary white belt. Then she was taken aside and given a private lesson and was able to come back and use a real samurai sword to cut the cake in front of her friends. How awesome was that?!?
It was a fun little party and we all had a great time celebrating my girl. :)
