After the memory walk we all headed over to Uncle Kino & Aunt Pauline's house to have a BBQ & swim. We always have a great time there visiting with family. Since its always a potluck, and it was Emma's birthday anyway, I decided to stop at the store and bring a small birthday cake. I figured, even though her "party" is next week, we could still have cake on her actual birthday. The cake was a big hit with the little ones (surprise, surprise) and Emma even got unexpected presents too! Kathie, Diana, Kino, & Pauline realized that they would not be able to make it out to Emma's party next week, so they went and got her presents to open at their house. How nice was that?! Emma loved all her new goodies. She got a new backpack to wear to "big kids school" on Monday, a new book, some games, jammies, an outfit, a singing Princess Ariel doll, and even a Starbucks gift card! Whew! They are so generous and Emma is a very lucky little girl to have so many people who love her.
