I took a vacation day last week and Emma & I went to Disneyland with our friends Erin, Chris, and Sophia. We had a great time! The girls are only two months apart in age and get along great! It was so neat for them to have each other to play with and entertain in line for all the rides. The rocket ships and small world were big hits as usual, as were the teacups. Chris is a good guy who even agreed to take both girls on that ride for us and, in an effort to get the coveted pink teacup, swooped up one child under each arm and ran across the platform. This was very important as all things pink and all things princess have become coveted by the girls lately. In fact, we went ahead and did the princess meal again (more pictures on that later).Then we headed over to California Adventure to get ready for lunch. By this time, both Emma & Sophia were looking a little tired so we decided to try to get them to nap. Erin & I reclined each stroller, tucked the girls under blankets, draped jackets over the top of the strollers, and told them "Go to sleep. You need a nap." And, will wonders never cease,... it actually worked! Both kids knocked out and Erin, Chris, and I got to relax and enjoy a frosty beverage in the beer garden! It really is the happiest place on earth! After naptime and lunch, we all enjoyed the ferris wheel and toy story rides. Then the girls got to go fishing and they each won a stuffed sea turtle before checking out the parade.
It was a fun filled day and Emma & Sophia continue to ask both Erin & I when they get to go to Disneyland again with their friend. They are so cute. As an added bonus, Chris even drove so I got to relax all the way home. The girls even fell asleep holding each other's hand. Too sweet.
